Appendix:

This information was obtained from the records of the late Ida Louisa Haggan, who copied inscriptions from the tombstones in this cemetery at a much earlier date, possibly in the 1940’s. These burials may be found in other cemeteries but were apparently originally buried in this cemetery.

CHUTE, Robert A. C., son of Mahlon & Hannah, died March 10, 1873, AE 4 years, 3 months and 12 days

Burials without Monuments

Eliza BOBBETT, born 1858, died of paralysis, age 53; buried January 18, 1911 in Grovesend Methodist Cemetery, Rev. Charles MILES officiating. Ontario Death Registration indicates that she died 15 January 1911 age 52 years, 9 months and 1 day, born 14 April 1858 in England daughter of Wm. Henry BROWN and Hannah Alethea POOLEY.  Burial information verified in the Parish register of Trinity Anglican Church, Aylmer located at the Huron Diocese Archives. She resided at Lot 21, Concession 2, Malahide. No grave stone exists for her.

Joanna Maria HAM, 69 years 3 mos, died 2 December 1910 at lot 22 Con 1; born September 26 1841 in Byworthy, Devonshire, England, daughter of William & Joanna Maria CHUBB; informant was Samuel Thomas HAM of Grovesend; buried December 5 1910 in Grovesend Cemetery.  Malahide Church Records; Vital Statistic Registration – No monument found – JM & CVH November 2009
