St. Henry’s was the first Roman Catholic cemetery in Aldborough Township.  The church on the same lot (St. Henry’s) was also the first Catholic church in the township.  The land was donated by Regina Schnekenburger, the widow of Henry (Heinrich) Schnekenburger.  At the time of his death, March 18, 1867, the closest Roman Catholic cemetery and church was North American Martyrs in Wardsville.  Henry is interred there.  Immediately after his death, Regina donated the land.
