This is an abandoned cemetery that was taken over by the Township of Dunwich.  The stones were moved into rows on the top of a sand knoll in the cemetery.  Some were no doubt lost.  The care of the cemetery is not as good as it used to be, since the Tait Bridge on the Coyne Road was removed, there is very little traffic by the cemetery.

The cemetery was transcribed in October 1981 by Shirley Campbell, Dora McArthur, Alice Paterson, Beth Panther, Mary Prud’homme and Don Carroll, for the West Elgin Genealogical & Historical Society.

FindAGrave gives this cemetery as the “Cambelltown Cemetery”
